Hosted in partnership with CCNY Graduate Science Education Program

This Fall, the STEM Institute is excited to offer a unique opportunity for middle school students to take part in our Science Explorers Mini-Camp. Over the course of four Monday after-school sessions, students will join graduate students from The City College of New York who are preparing to become science teachers. Together, they will dive into hands-on science and STEM explorations that spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

Students will:

  • Invent, build, and create through engaging projects designed to encourage curiosity and innovation.

  • Participate in team-based challenges that highlight cooperation, communication, and creative problem-solving.

  • Explore connections between science, technology, and everyday life, making STEM concepts meaningful and fun.

  • Learn in an environment that supports different learning styles, including students with special needs and English language learners.

Each session will feature activities that build on student ideas and interests, encouraging them to investigate questions, test solutions, and share discoveries with peers and mentors.
